Parrott portrait

Parrott is the multidisciplinary project of Nathaniel Parrott, a Pacific Northwest artist and electronic music producer working across sound, image, and technology. His music is rooted in sample-driven bass, pulling from hip hop, glitch hop, downtempo, and melodic bass, while his visual work explores the space between the organic and the technical, the holy and the unsanctified, and the visible and the unseen.

Raised on Vashon Island in the greater Seattle area, Parrott began making and releasing music in 2010, first as PILZ and Pilz Beats and now as Parrott. In 2025, Pretty Lights played his remix of "Finally Moving" at Elements Festival. In September 2026, Parrott joins the lineup of Yahn Dawn, Pretty Lights' festival in Colorado.

Nathaniel entered the digital art world as an early artist on SuperRare in 2020. His work and career have since appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Cascade PBS, and Whitewall. His artwork has been displayed on Times Square billboards, and in 2022 he was named to nft now's inaugural NFT100.

Music and visual art have never been separate practices for Parrott. Both are ways of exploring the same ideas through different tools, merging the organic with the digital and building experiences that move between what can be seen, what can be heard, and what can only be felt.

Parrott is currently based in Tacoma, Washington.
